my thoughts exactly. ward made 5 million for this fight, and i doubt that it broke even. now he's implying that he wants a bigger slice of the pie when the key selling point is that most observers gave the fight to the other guy?
if ward and his people swerve a kovalev rematch it will be an awful look. i don't think that they want to, but we have to hold them accountable in negotiations if they ask for too much money. one fighter didn't draw that huge crowd. watch ward try and sell out a high priced arena vs alex brand. that fight was sold as a matchup between the two best poiund for pounders who campaign in the same weight class, and that's why it was a big fight. not because of andre ward exclusively.
