I have a lot of respect for Marquez but I don't agree with him. Maybe something got lost in translation. I'm thinking he's saying Kovalev with the one loss and Golovkin being undefeated put him higher in his personal ranking. I saw a lot of good things from Kovalev against Ward. That KD punch was a thing of beauty. Also his timely jabs kept Ward guessing and unsure in the beginning. I've seen enough of Golovkin to think he has good boxing skills but he's yet to prove it against an opponent of Wards' caliber.

There might be some truth to that.

Marquez is no longer the big Mexican on campus.

Kovalevs far more precise, uses angles better, better combination puncher, far better counter puncher.

I know its not a popular opinion but its night and day and he's shown it at at the highest level.

        GGG gets whitewashed by Ward
Kovalev is flatout better than GGG in every department.
Nah. And GGG is two divisions smaller so why what he would do vs Ward relevant?

I'm fan of JMM but this was very ******

First of all, Golovking never faced a guy of elite, and least with the style of Ward.

Second, who the people like to watch is not important, Rigo is better than all the fighters of the world and?

Third. Gonzalez ended the fight vs Cuadras with his face made **** and that was a controversial fight.

CUADRAS is a great boxer but not in the level of Ward. So?

True. But if GGG and Ward fought each other, then either Ward would be drained or GGG would be giving up a lot of weight, depending on what weight they fought at.

You can say Ward won with some "ring generalship", but the only man who was beaten and busted up in that arena was Dre.

Dre probably still wearing his glasses for 3 weeks lol
he still walked away with 3 titles ROFL, from the guy all of you said he was "ducking."

Neither of these two is one dimensional stop that bull**** folks. Both Kovalev and GGG belong to the verry best fighters out there, just as ward and cocolatito.
