lomachenko- pound for pound number 1?

At the moment i think boxing is such a weak era that theres not one fighter who people can look at and say they are automatically pound for pound. Many will disagree and say andre ward, but it was a very controversial decision and even with that win that would only be one good win in 5 years.

But in my opinion, if lomachenko wins on saturday night, and impressively, then he has as good a shout as any for being pound for pound number 1. Because when you look at what fighters have done in the last few years, i think him beating gary rusell and walters convincingly would be as impressive as what any other fighter has done. In addition to that, hes beaten some other solid fighters too. People point to the salido loss, but frankly, who cares? It was the guys second pro fight against a heavier fighter who fouled repeatedly, and even so it was very close.
i think people are now conditioned to be sceptical of anyone with a loss due to the amount of manufactured champions with unbeaten records (cough PBC cough).

And CV aside, lomachenkos skills in my opinion are the best in the sport. In most other eras i think it would be ludicrous for a fighter with as few fights as lomachenko to be considered pound for pound, but there is such a lack of standout fighters currently that i think he deserves it if he puts in a dominant performance on saturday.

Lomachenko is a special kind of talent. Talent you will only see once in a decade. With regards to skill, he is 100% in the top 5 pound for pound. What he needs to do now, is improve his resume. If he does that, you will have the next fighter of the decade.

yeah i think he is a seriously special talent. Think when its all said and done hes going to end up as one of the greatest fighters theres been, know thats a big claim but in history i cant say ive seen many with the skills that ive seen from him. Looking at potentially the greatest amateur theres ever been so i think hes worth some hype. Now ive said that, walters will probably knock him out in the first round on saturday lol

What??????? Lomachenko???????? the guy with 7 fights?????? gtfoh, Lomachenko needs to beat more fighters, if he beats Walters then he should be considered top 10, no way in hell #1, so Ward beats Kovalev he's not number #1, Roman Gonzalez 4 weight champ he's not number #1, Pacquaio beat Bradley this year, Crawford LINEAL champion at two weights, Lomachenko has long ways to go
