Perez-Hooker and Kovalev-Ward scores were garbage.

look at all these Compubox lovers in here lol.. Compubox also had Pacquiao land 81 total punches vs Mayweather, for an abysmal 19% connect percentage...these same clowns cried that was way off, said Compubox is just guys pushing buttons and went so far as to watch the fight in slow motion to count punches.. but now Compubox is the gospel lol..

these idiots fail to understand that judges aren't sitting there counting punches, this isn't the amateurs. professional boxing is scored on four criteria: clean punching, defense, effective aggression and ring generalship.

in an evenly matched fight judges look out for things the casuals don't. the way Kovalev was chasing Ward around the ring instead of cutting it says to the judges Ward is the ring general. and it also makes his aggression ineffective.

stop crying.. Ward won and rightfully so.

Kovalev is afraid of Ward on the inside, he doesn't want to eat uppercuts and take more body punishment, especially ward's left hook considering that's his best punch.

Anybody citing CompuFraud punch stats is a moron. It not accurate at all. Two mother ****ers with one *****ty view of the ring just like the judges, pressing multiple button when they think they see punches throw, jabs landed, power punches landed etc. It isn't accurate at all, and usually not even in the ballpark. The only reason CompuFraud exists is to be used as a tool to try and sway user opinion of the fight. If you want to know how bad CompuFraud is. CompuFraud had Calzaghe landing 232 punches on Hopkins. That turned out to be about 183 punches more than he actually landed when punch counts were taken during video analysis of the fight. Hopkins punch stat of 127 landed was actually fairly close to what he actually landed, CompuFraud listed his connect percentage lower than it actually was though. Another horrible one was Forrest vs Mayorga II. CompuFraud had Mayorga landing 40 power punches though four rounds, when Mayorga hadn't landed 20 punches period through four rounds. Or Pac vs Clottey. Pac was credited with almost 200 more punches than he actually landed to a scoring part of the body. **** CompuFraud. People need to stop even paying it any attention.

Kovalev won in every one of those categories.

And you can be a ring general, and have effective aggression without cutting the ring off. You can also be cutting the ring off effectively and losing exchanges and be getting countered when you close the distance.

Compubox also showed that Marquez beat Pacquiao in their first and 2nd fight.
