Stevenson is just talking as usual. He knows Ward owes Kovalev a rematch.

We saw the two best Light Heavyweights fight a great fight last Saturday and they will do it again. Number 3 Stevenson is gonna have to wait on the sidelines, which is the choice he made years ago.

Ward doesn't owe Kovalev rematch because Kovalev is about to become as irrelevant as Stevenson

Not what I wanted to hear from Ward! Stevenson needs to defeat Alvarez and Beterbiev, and see what happens in the Kovalev vs. Ward rematch!

Stevenson is one dimensional. Not a fatal flaw when you have a left hand as good as his, but against Ward I doubt it would be anywhere near enough. I don’t think a fighter as predictable as Stevenson would beat Ward. It’s just 1-2 over and over again. Kovalev has much more range as a boxer. Better footwork, better jab, better use of his lead hand in general. Stevenson also seems to have stamina issues which is a major problem against a guy who’ll test you right to the finish line.

After Kovalev remstch, if Ward wins he should fight Stevenson to cement his 168-175 legacy as a Ring champ in both weight classes and having fought every fighter he needed to fight while he was in the weight class. There will be crying about Dirrell and Bute but there's always an issue about a resume among a select few fans but Ward's resume is top class. He can finish it off with Kovalev 2, Stevenson, and Jack-DeGale winner can come up to LHW and fight Ward

Kovalev is one dimensional as well, but unlike Adonis he doesn't have 1 punch KO power. Since Adonis and Kovalev are not able to outbox Andre, and in terms of boxing abilities are far from his level, there's only hope for lucky punch for that kind of fighters like Adonis and Kovalev, and Adonis got better chance to do this - Kovalev needs to land clean combinations to hurt his opponents.

I think that Adonis can beat Ward, but Kovalev beats Adonis and Ward beats Kovalev

Stevenson is so many levels below Ward and Kovalev, it'd be embarrassing.

Whatever people thought of the result Ward and Kovalev got in the ring with each other, Stevenson hasn't shared the ring with a live body since beating a recently demolished Chad Dawson.

Adonis has a left straight and no other weapons, his level of competition is the only reason he still has a belt.

Maybe he's many levels below Ward, but not Kovalev. Plus, a boxer like Adonis, who can KO anybody with a single punch, has a chance against anybody

Dawson wasn't a live body either, he was just a Ward's leftover at that point when Stevenson fought him

ward took care of the bogeyman who sent adonis into hiding so why should adonis be able to just waltz back into the picture now that the coast is clear and claim a shot at the marbles without paying his dues first?

stevenson needs to face kovalev first, regardless of whether kovalev holds the titles or not. if he comes through that - which i highly doubt - then he can get a shot at ward
