LOL! hes not acknowledging he lost, or he didn't do enough to justify the win, he's acknowledging that in the states if he does not knock down ward he will not get the decision, as it has been in the past, for a contender to win against the tittle holder you have to dominate the fighter, and make it seem that way, Ward didn't do that, he was outpointed and was dropped, he was dominated and Kovalev was the aggressor, so if Ward didn't win in any of those areas, How the hell he gets the decision? biased referee, judges, that's all! they stole all the hard work kovalev had to go trough to win all those belts. It's hard to see how corruption and biased opinions can F*%$ someone's career.

Neither of them got schooled. The fight was a very competitive one. Kovalev could have gotten the victory just as well and I would have been equally happy because it was that close (by the way, I scored it for Ward just as the judges did). I don't think that Ward will get KOed in a second fight though. If Kova couldn't do it in the first one, what makes him think he will do it in a second one. Kova didn't wanted to exchange on the inside because Ward punches were hurting him as well. My guess is that if he tries to pressure more on a second fight, he will be the one getting knocked out. Also, it took only 3 rounds for Ward to figure out Kova, so I think a second fight will be a much clear win for Ward (of course, Kova will always have the "puncher's chance" to his favor).Flash knockdown? Yeah I agree. Also, have to give props to Marquez for scoring that nice flash knockout in your sig against Pac. Lmao.
This is how boxing corruption ****s up everything. Now Kovalev feels he can't just school Ward the way he did the first fight, now he feels like the judges will screw him no matter what, so he has to push for a knockout, which may play into Ward's hands. Everything was set up for Ward to win and he still lost.
By the way you act like Ward got caught once with a fluke punch and nothing else happened. You didn't see Ward stumbling from a jab in one round? Then he bullrushed Kovalev and grabbed him, and the ref took 10 seconds to break them, and then held Kovalev back another 5 seconds and warned him to give Ward more time.
Seriously just watch it, and tell me the ref wasn't in Ward's corner from round 1 trying to give him more time to recover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...s_LqQzlc#t=324
RJJ also said Kovalev hurt him in the 12th to the body. So Ward gets hurt in 25% of the rounds even with the ref helping him, but you try to downplay it to one flash knockdown. Typical Ward fan hypocrisy. 8-4 Kovalev.
I couldn't say this fight was a robbery, controversial maybe, but not a robber. The truth is both guys deserved to win but there was only room for one.
Looking forward to the rematch though.

˄ ˄ ˄ ˄ ˄ ˄ ˄ ˄ ˄ ˄ ˄ ˄Saying that Kov will "get schooled even harder" in a second fight implies that Kovalev got schooled in this fight.
Which simply isn't true. Look man I was going for Ward. And I can see how one would get to a 114-113 card for Ward...but there was zero schooling going on. Ward never dominated one single round. The rounds that he won where all close, tough, hard fought rounds.

But it was a flash knockdown .. that's just a still photo of the end of his shot. The blow was more a palm to face . If it wasn't then why isn't Ward chin the talk of the forumsFYI this is what Ward nuthuggers are calling a "flash knockdown." https://twitter.com/SpagnoloSports/s...77747503648768
Okay then. Just shows your bias even more, again. This is why no one takes Ward nuthuggers seriously. But the good thing is I've seen a lot of Ward fans who are intelligent and real dudes saying they do have to be honest and admit Ward lost. Those guys definitely deserve a lot of respect.Comment

did anyone notice in between rounds, kov's trainer wasnt giving him any instructions at all? lol.. i was watching the pre fight lead up interview and kov's trainer was saying something about how when kov first came into his gym he did not want to take any advice from him at all and it was hard for him to try and get kov to do anything that he wanted. basically kov was doing what kov wants and didnt want to listen to the trainer. i think kov needs to lighten up and take advice from his own trainer if he wants to win the rematch convincingly.Comment

Ward pictures
Hey Boxing Scene,
Did you guys catch a sale on pictures that only show Kovalev hitting Ward?
Did Jim Lampley and HBO take these pictures?
WTF?
It's not as if Ward didn't put hands on Kov.
Somebody has pictures of it...seek them out.Comment

he tried to get a KO but couldn't, ward adjusted like the greats do. .maybe in the rematch kovalev wont be scared to war on the inside like he was this time..all those excessive headlocks should've gotten a point deduction for that. .ward has the confidence of knowing he can deal with kovalevs power, and basically dissected him after the 5th round. .a rematch won't be close, if kovalev foolishly rushes in lookin for a KO, he's gettin timed and put to sleep.. the big bad wolf, with all that power and reach, scared to death of a phone booth war against the supposedly feather fisted ward.. kovalev got exposed and ward will flatline him in a rematch..be careful what you wish for big fella.
