    Let's talk about Round 10

I'm seeing more and more people giving round 10 to Kovalev and I just can't see how

I chose this link so there's no biased commentating

    10. Ward 10-9 - Ward lands a blazing two punch combo and uppercut at 2:54 mark. Ward lands a body shot at 2:45. Kov lands a jab at 2:35 mark. They exchange jabs at 2:20. Ward lands a BIG overhand left at 2:10. Follows with two head snapping jabs at 1:51 and 1:48 mark. Kovalev responds by hitting air. They exchange jabs at 1:34. Ward with a nice jab to the body at 1:27. Ward with a HUGE check hook at 1:07 mark. They exchange overhand rights at the :49 second mark. Ward with a HUGE power jab at the :39 second mark, followed by a big overhand right to the kidney's at the :32 second mark. They exhange jabs at the :29 second mark. They exchange jabs at the :20 second mark. Kovalev lands air for the rest of the round

    Another clear Ward round

The video is too long to go back to tell you each exchange but I can already see that your problem is you don't watch both fighters work and the crowd got to you. I had time to do a minute (rewinding back and forth on an hour long video is a pain in the ass to get time stamps). That huge check hook? You missed Kovalev landing his big right hand to the body there and his follow up jab in that exchange. Kov wins that exchange despite of what the crowd says.. Kov also landed a neck snapping jab seconds before that... The "exchange" of right hands? Ward's didn't land... it got Kov on the shoulder and kov eases up on his balance from Ward's follow up left which also lands like on the arm/shoulder. Kov lands two jabs at around the 45 second mark (which you don't seem to mention..like you didnt mention most of his work). At the 20 second mark? Again, all crowd...Ward's didn't land (again) and his neck snaps back. Nothing under 20 seconds? He lands a short left hook to the side of the head at around the 13 mark..followed by a jab around the 10 second warning (he missed the follow up right hand even though in real time it seems he landed it but that jab counts). He also lands a right to the body right before the bell ends.

I don't mean any offense but your eyes arent good or trained enough to make these threads. That was a Kovalev round to me. If you want people to take these things serious you have to be objective with BOTH of their work. Ward landed a few nice shots particularly a nice body shot but if your eyes are quick enough and your watching both fighters that is a Kovalev round.

          .
1.07-Kov lands a body shot with right, Ward counters with a left hook to the chin, Kov's left hits Ward's shoulder/neck.

50-Kov-Ward exchange right hands, Ward misses, Kov's right clips Ward's head a bit but hits mostly shoulder like Ward's, Ward responds with a clipping left hook, equal exchange.

45-These jabs have NOTHING on them, pay attention to Ward moving backwards, Kov touches his face but they do 0 damage because Ward took the ALL power off them. How can you count these?

14--Kov misses and hits Ward's neck/t****zius with a left, again Ward is moving back when Kov lands his jab, there is little to no power on that. Can't see the right hand clearly enough at the end to the body, could've landed on Ward's arm which he had down.

So what you are saying is. "Kovalev did little in the round and Ward did almost nothing in the round, so it is a round for Ward."

the dude literally just suggested that because (he thinks) a punch had no power, it shouldn't count.

                That is exactly the reasoning.

I thought the round was fairly close but I believe I gave it to Kovalev when watching it live. After watching it a couple of times I'd consider it a more debatable round than seems to be the general opinion of NSBers.

The point of this thread is that it was an even and highly disputed round. I personally gave it to Kovalev.
