Ward clinched a lot because it was the only way to prevent another knockdown and appear that he actually lands something though he didn't. Kovalev didn't need to clinch as many "experts" here claim, he was outboxing him at distance and made him ****** and completely lost in the first half of the fight.
And lets not forget Ward's arm measurement after the knockdown, he kept on sticking out and usually boxers are not allowed to do that. I give Ward 3 rounds at most
But if you really think Ward won, then look at his busted face and Kovalev's, the answer is there despite Virgil's claims about Kovalev being innefective
