Tonight was a perfect example of why boxing's popularity has been declining

I knew that all Ward had to do was survive the fight and the judges were gonna give it to him. Me and all my friends called it before the scorecards were announced. Kovalev got robbed badly.
Boxing is killing itself, barely any good fights happen and when they do it ends in robbery.Comment

Yes, if you express an opinion, then you are whining. In other words, just shut up! (And we're the whiners, Haha). Everyone knows deep down Kovalev got robbed. They just don't want to admit it.such a predictable response, i can't see anything that i disagree with by the TS, some people think a robbery is OTT. matter of opinion. The disgusting robbery on the undercard is not a matter of opinion however.
If you can't argue the points he made, (which were pretty poignant imo), just post ' you crying doe ' ' u mad u boi lost '
its so pathetic, if you can't argue a point you disagree with coherently then why bother to say anything?Comment

He did, in the sense that he dictated the pace and demonstrated ring generalship and was the more effectively aggressive fighter. He also landed the cleaner, more telling punches. Ward didn't even throw any combos, he connected here and there and it seemed to sway the crowd wildly when he did and probably affected the judges too. Ward didn't do nearly enough to win, let alone rips them belts off the champ.
Kovalev won, larger or smaller margin, he won.Comment

Yep. How Ward can get away with all that illegal clinching without so much as a single point deduction is beyond me. In fact, he never even got a warning. Sergey did though.A Columbian boxer who grew up in poverty comes to the USA and fights a much bigger privileged American boxer. He gets robbed on the scorecards, even though he deserved to win every round.
An exciting Russian boxer with three world titles fights a privileged American boxer. The Russian like the Columbian grew up in poverty, while the American boxer was the son of a prosperous businessman. The Russian gets paid $2 mil while the boring American who demands all the advantages in every fight receives $5 mil. The American does a lot of clinching and wrestling to survive in the fight. The Russian clearly wins the fight, but is robbed on the scorecards.
Why would anybody buy another PPV after tonight? Oh I know there are a few de****able people who don't mind seeing robberies as long as the African-American boxer is the one gifted the win. I see their predictable posts.
But all DECENT, HONORABLE people want fair officiating in sports, and will lose interest in boxing after they see how corrupt it is.
situations like this brings to mind all the Americans who called Wlad Wladimir Clinchko and called him a cheat (which he is) but support that stink-fest last night. Just as long as the American cheats and gets gifts, it's alright.
Absolutely vile.Comment

Kov is not going to be able to get anything going for him to get the KO. All that illegal grappling and clinching sees to that.Comment
