Rewatched the fight, here's my scorecard,

    rd1 K 10 W 9
    rd2 K 10 W 8
    rd3 K 10 W 9
    rd4 K 10 W 9
    rd5 K 10 W 9
    rd6 K 10 W 9
    rd7 K 9 W 10
    rd8 K 9 W 10
    rd9 K 9 W 10
    rd10 K 10 W 9
    rd11 K 9 W 10
    rd12 K 10 W 9

Final score Kovalev 116 Ward 111

Kovalev dominated most of the fight, Ward did quite a bit of running and holding. In no way did Ward take the belts off the champ and in no way did he win on the cards.

People watch fights for the suspense... The suspense evaporated when the hooker-perez scores were announced, came back briefly when kovalev knocked down ward, evaporated again when ward started to pittypat in the clinch and we knew he would somehow get the nod

The Perez-Hooker fight was a downright disgrace. Hooker was godawful in just about every round, and had zero case for winning the fight. That draw was a mockery of the sport.

People always cry after close fights.

I had it 114-113 Ward. I can see it a draw or close Kovalev win.

such a predictable response, i can't see anything that i disagree with by the TS, some people think a robbery is OTT. matter of opinion. The disgusting robbery on the undercard is not a matter of opinion however.

If you can't argue the points he made, (which were pretty poignant imo), just post ' you crying doe ' ' u mad u boi lost '

its so pathetic, if you can't argue a point you disagree with coherently then why bother to say anything?

Kovalev lost fair and square. You are delusional if you think this close a fight can possibly be a robby. Many people scored it 114:113. The rematch's score cards are gonna be well wider and you know it.

people are seriously deluded on here, i was expecting to sign in and hear pretty 'meh' things about the fight, yet got people putting it up there as FOTY ffs. I can tell you now that the fight has been viewed pretty ****ing negatively over here by sports fans who tuned in for free on sky. boxings got a bad enough reputation with home decisions and robberies and this has added to it, and despite what people say the fight wasnt exactly action packed was it, never really caught fire. If people think this was some great night which gets people following boxing again they are dead wrong.
