Which is why I prefer clear, one-sided victories. There's no debates. No questions to ask.
Mayweather clearly beat Pacquiao. That is not in question. People are butthurt because of HOW he did it. Reality is Manny didn't show up.
Being a "top fighter" is no nevermind. 1/3rd of Mayweather's victories were against "Top fighters" at the time, and all but one of them (De La Hoya) were one-sided schoolings. Especially Corrales and N'Dou.
I'm about to watch the full fight here in a minute, but I've said before that Ward never really impressed me as a fighter. He certainly is no Floyd, more like Whitaker, with similar flaws. But the outcome didn't surprise me, and why I didn't waste money on the fight. It wasn't going to end well without a knockout or a blowout, and neither was going to happen. This isn't Hopkins we're talking about.
