I don't completely buy that, people exaggerate saying Kovalev hurt him several times but I think that right hand was damaging. Virgil had to wake him up in the corner.

Evidently though Ward does have a better chin than he is given credit for.

This is the part I never liked about Ward, the pompous ass. He was visibly surprised they announced he won the fight, he lied about being knocked down for first time in his career since Boone put him down before, and he was visibly rocked several times, including several jabs that sent him reeling.

Good fighter, family man, but a jackass nonetheless.
