Well a lot of boxers get knocked down by punches they dont see.

I personally would not come out and make a statement like Ward did after getting dropped, but on the other hand i can see where he is coming from.

He also lied about it being the first time he got knocked down. I just don't buy this nice guy image everyone claims he has. I think he's just sneaky to be honest. But of course, it's all hearsay. I know guys can say crazy things after going twelve rounds. And getting dropped. And getting marked up.

Oh for sure. Sometimes I wonder why they do post fight interviews. It's not like the guy just played an NBA or MLB game. He was taking punches for twelve rounds. He's not going to be thinking at his clearest. Ha.

It's the scoring system that awards 'wins' like this. Judges are discouraged from giving 10/10 rounds even when two boxers are so obviously nullifying each other, so you are left with ''what do you prefer?'': the guy forcing the action or the guy defending effectively, with the round having no clear winner.

After the 2nd round I was at the edge of my seat because I felt that Kovalev could catch Ward with something big and hurt him at any minute... good fight, hopefully they replay it on Saturday.
