It wasn't the type of performance that deserves ascension to P4P #1 IMO. I had it #1 Gonzalez #2 Kovalev #3 Ward going into the fight. I have it #1 Gonzalez #2 Ward #3 Kovalev after the fight. I hope they do it again and again though. I really enjoyed the competition that both men showed in the ring. It was refreshing and this sport really needed it.

He's as tough as advertised. No matter the outcome of the fight, Ward didn't cower from Kov and took the fight to him despite tasting his power....

I doubt many people had him winning the fight, so no p4p fighter emerged tonight after all the hype.

#1 in the sport, I just think it took some time for him to get back to his old mentality. This fight may have unlocked it, I didn't recognize Ward until after the knockdown, it woke him up, that's the old Ward I knew. He had nothing to lose and that's exactly how he used to fight, that was the focus he's been missing.

P4P is a ridiculous notion but if I had to rank Ward he would be high on the list, just a notch or two below Kovalev.

It was one of those fights that elevates both fighters. Sergey showed he's the real deal and Ward showed he still has plenty of fight in him.
                    My thoughts exactly

                      agreed ...

Kovalev showed he is fo real and has scary power

And Ward showed he can adapt to a monster like that ( #1 and #2 ) grear rivalry , i know the fight is ugly but its exciting !
