ward took on the boogeyman and gave him a boxing lesson! .. a man so feared stevenson went into hiding and nobody wanted to see him. ward cleaned out 168, wanted to wipe out little g before landing at 175, but little g didn't want that work..so went ahead and took out the big bad wolf, goliath, the krusher!

ward tasted the power and instead of scrambling to survival mode (like bhop) he stayed in kovalevs chest all night, give dre props for his chin and heart. he even got bold at times and show boated against the russian tank!

kovalev power was sapped due to wards body blows. ward figured out kovalevs range and proceeded to work him..in a rematch it will get ugly because now ward has already tasted the power and has him figured out..kovalev will get punished in a rematch..sig it!

Look at their faces.
The turn it up and listen to Virgil, he know more about boxing than all of us and he knew he lost that fight and he was loosing badly. Enough said.

I thought it was close. I had it 1 point for Krusher because of the knock down.
But, I also think Ward did a good job. I can't call it a robbery.

All those on here thinking Ward was the one clinching, You better stop and analyse the fight again.

After the 4th Round you can genuinely make an argument Ward won EVERY SINGLE ROUND. He also conceivably edged the 3rd. It was a close competitive bout and there needs to be a rematch.

There was no way Ward could win that fight; only if he won 8 rounds and Kovalev 4. That did not happen. Robbery? Yes, it was!

After round two, if Ward didn't go down, people gave rounds 3-6 to him. There is no way Ward won more than 2 rounds in the first half. Its being generous to givd him one in that time. Kovalev controlled the pace, landed the more effective punches and had ward befuddled. These guys saying he won any of those rounds are full of it.

Fight could have gone either way, I had Ward up by 1 point but honestly it could have easily been the other way, there was just so many rounds that could have gone either way.

The HBO team were a joke in that fight, especially Lampley and Lederman, I thought they were incredibly biased and gave Ward little to no credit, especially between rounds 3 and 4 which were much closer than they made out - and there was a later round that Lederman gave Kovalev that left me stunned.

I remember later on in the fight Kovalev to his credit landed a couple body shots and Lampley was going mental, yet didn't give the same reaction when Ward landed significant blows.

This is what you get when you get two top level fighters going against each other, there's loads of pick'em rounds and a massive debate on who won.

You did not watch the hbo broadcast. THe hbo team was fighting with eachother to see who could suck off ward The hardest.
