Being angry won't help Kova to do better.

Kova lacks stamina to beat somebody who is always on his A game like Dre is for the full 36 minutes.

Such power and activity, loading your jabs like right hands can't last for 12 rounds, Kova will tire again. He has to put Dre out of here or score 3 KD.

I agree. I think the Kovalev faithful basically ignored the body work. The punch stats were pretty much equal. With Kovalev landing slightly more, and Ward landing at a better percentage. Dont have the punch stats. But, I'm pretty certain Kovalev had a huge advantage in the second round. Which means if you take that round away, Ward probably outlanded Sergey, and landed at a higher percentage in the rest of the rounds.

Close fight as expected, and I enjoyed it. Two elite fighters at work.

Many of the rounds were difficult to score either way. I thought Kovalev did enough, but have no complaints about the decision. It's fine margins.

I would love to see a rematch.

          Kovalev Won

This is exactly what's wrong with boxing today. Shady decisions. I suspected going in to this fight that for Kovalev to get even a draw he' d still have to knock Ward out. This wasn't the only fight with a corrupt decision. Perez easily won the fight before and got a draw! I feel bad for Kovalev, and this fight just shows how crooked boxing is now a days.

Hopefully Ward will honour the rematch as this has the making of a many fight classic.

Can't argue with much of that as Kov does wane in latter rounds as Dre pounded the body. I just don't see Kov abandoning the body again. And if Dre has to worry about body/head instead of just head, we may see a different outcome. I just watched the fight on YouTube and I couldn't see this being at the fight but watching it revealed to me that Jackson is a straight figure head who gets no real respect in the corner. He couldn't even talk until Kovs Russian coach finished talking for the first 30-45 seconds of the break. Sad situation for John Jackson

And the body work is what makes it a close fight, because if we talk about punches landed to the face, then it's a no contest, Kova ****ed up Dre's face.

Kova didn't need glasses at the end of the fight.
U can't gauge by that nonsense, Dre light skinned so he always looks knicked up. He looked worse to me after the Barrera fight and he dominated that one.

Great fight! I scored it 114/113 for Kovalev. I felt rounds 4,10, and 12 were very close and could have gone either way. I scored 4 and 12 for Ward and 10 for Kovalev.

I just watched it from a vid in the trading block that cut off before the decision is announced. I was a little surprised to click to main page and see that Ward won, but really it was anyones game. Ward fought great towards the end.

All of yall crying "corruption" are outta your minds. You don't win a fight just because you knock him down once. You don't win a fight because you punch harder. You win a fight with clean punching, effective aggression, ring generalship, and defense. Ward landed clear blows more often. A lot of Kovalev's aggression was largely ineffective. Ward was able to control the pace of the fight more often than Kovalev. Both displayed good defense. But, Kovalev's connect percentage was in the 20s, and Ward landed at a better connect rate. It was a good fight. Could have gone either way. But I don't see how anybody could say this was a robbery. Especially Ward only winning by a point on all the cards

yea just like when dirrell beat degale right? ..oh and if kovalev just "eeked" out a win that means even u saw it as a close fight, so how is it a robbery?
