I scored it 114-113 for Kovalev. Helluva fight. The closest fight I've ever seen. So little between the two, especially from round 5 on. I want an immediate rematch! Ward is #1 and Kovalev is #2 on my P4P list

That my friends is what you would call a split draw. But at 40 to 1 Vegas was not having that. Very surprised at a unanimous decision. Hard to comprehend how none of the judges seen it for Kovalev. Or none of them had it a draw. Just speechless.

Reading the comments here have left me stunned. Did I not see the same fight?

Some people wanted 116-111 for Kovalev??? Why? Because Harold Lederman had that score???

I had it 114-113 for either fighter. There were too many close rounds, but I can easily give 6 rounds Ward won and at least 5 rounds Kovalev won. With Kovalev's knockdown in the 2nd round that leaves 1 point left...up to the viewer in my eyes.

Honestly stunned how much disagreement this fight had. I guess those same people think Cotto beat Canelo??

I thought it was Kovalev doing the clinching...It was smart, Wards fight was inside and Kovalev took that away early by tying him up. Be that as it may I had Kovalev winning...Ward is a soldier though that body work was crazy.

How dumb does HBO look? They pushed Ward out of his own weight class in an attempt to feed him to SK, they did not want him to fight GGG, or they would have pushed for the fight.

They wanted Ward to lose, and it didn't happen, this is awesome to watch.

              As for a rematch?

No need, Ward won, SK clearly is not a box office draw. Ward crossed over based on the tweets from celebs, Ward is about to cash in, and he does not need SK to do it.

STFU.. not how it works.. you don't just BARLEY beat the champ.. you have to do it convincingly, unfortunately it was not reflected by wards performance

What a great close fight between two of the best. The decision could have went either way. Neither fighter lost anything, even the loser, after this fight The only loser is Stevenson who continues to duck any real threat to his title. I hope ther is a rematch in a year. This should become a trilogy that propels both fighters popularity.

Ward got credit for slowing Kovalev

But boxing is not just defense, it's offense too. Ward had none of it. Kovalev took a stroll today.

Ridiculous that Ward gets credit for preventing the fight from happening by throwing weak little jabs.

Kovalev was in greater trouble against Pascal.

                      I knew this would happen...
no one is satisfied with one fight anymore... they need a trilogy...
Kovalev threw more punches, he connected more punches, he Knocked him down... and he lost the fight?

                      What a joke!!!
