Good, hope its true. I think Golovkin's team knows that if they don't do something to give Jacobs more than 25%, it will make them look bad regardless of the WBA rules. Jacobs would also look bad for declining the fight if he can't get more, but I have no problem with him getting 40%.

They should've agreed to have the interim fights in December if they're not fighting til March. They could've used it as a way to promote their ppv fight.

Jacobs will look worse. He comes from a place where he sees himself getting beat already. The opportunity to win 4 more belts and beating the top fighter in the division has zero value to him. Zero. It didn't matter to him that winning meant substantial amounts of money to come and taking the A-side position.

On the general principle of where there is smoke there is fire it makes sense.

There has to be a reason no purse bid has happened or even been called for, this would be the simplest reason really although I don't quite get keeping it quiet at the moment other than there is some other hurdle that does not involve the fighter's demands (like HBO being stingy or even being uncertain about their boxing budget next year).

So it is obviously not a done deal and could still fall through, or it would be announced.
