That's the beauty of it. Those who like both fighters were the real winners in Saturday.
I've been a long-time Ward follower but I really didn't want to see Sergey look bad. It was hard to imagine either losing and I'm really glad Sergey, in defeat, at least still has the support of the fans. He looked amazing and I wouldn't be sour had he got the nod (though I felt Andre was the rightful winner).

My favorite quote of the night was when Andre was asked about the KD and he said, "Virgil told me I might get knocked down. He said, 'You might get knocked down because you're going to have to go take it.'"

Won't lie, I was a bit gutted about the decision, but mainly it was just great to see a really high level fight between two guys at the very top of their game. I kinda been feeling a bit jaded about the sport the last year, but his one was a timely reminder of what it's like when the right fights do actually happen, proper shouting at the screen stuff..

Anyways - I will definitely be hoping for both guys to make the adjustments and see what they can bring in the rematch now they've both had a good look at each other ... kinda consider this fight a trial run. I'd be rooting for Kovalev anyway, but I'm figuring if he does pull it off, we could get a third installment, so here's hoping.

Using terms like "privileged African American fighters" " "Said fighter doesn't get enough attention because he's white" "Everyone with black fighters in their avatars picked Ward." I don't make comments like this. You do and just because I push back against your ridiculously racist post doesn't make me the racist. You are a racist and always have been one on this site. here are the days when the champ gets "out boxed" by a guy on the back foot who slips and spoils for a lot of the fight, gets dropped, wins almost every close and not so close round, like 6 9 10 12 maybe 8 too comes to mind. 3 and 5 were close too.

I mean the judges gave him 17 out of the last 18 rounds, that fight was fixed, straight up, ward did wellish 7 and 8 (he could easily have lost 8 too) so they decided to give him all the rest and the fight too, thats what happened, those judges should be ashamed of themselves

Kovalev needs a KO in the rematch or to KD ward at least 2 times or else he cant win FACT

I'm more of a civil rights activist who want equal rights and fair treatment for everyone in boxing. Pointing out racism doesn't make me a racist.

You constantly accuse others of being racist, yet you are a cheerleader for black boxers. You never post anything good about a non-black boxer. You even DEFEND A ROBBERY because Ward is half-black. Is that racist?

I don't think the fight was a robbery because it was a close fight. if Ward lost I damn sure wouldn't have equated it with a "civil rights" issue. That's just ****** and another example of your crying about "white boxers not getting fair treatment." Some of you fools are even equating it with Pac-Bradley 1 LOL.
