I DO think it would be a wise strategy to show Jacobs, Canelo, and all the greedy, would-be competitors that they don't need them. I do that in my business all the time and 90% of them time, they relent.
I really hope that's all they're doing here and I hope they pay attention to the backlash because it looks sad calling out Carl.
This is most likely it. Hopefully it's just a bunch of smoke blowing to get the attention of the names he is really chasing.

I seriously doubt Carl even considers it for a moment; I'd be extremely disappointed in GGG if he was actually chasing this "fight".

Or it could be ... Loeffler asked Hearn about Froch, in jest, and now Hearn is trying to tempt Carl out of retirement?

I wouldn't put it past fast Eddie. But yeah, I think this is probably just publicity talk, aka, promoter's bull****.

They better not , GGG team needs to get moving and give us some elite fighters in the ring , we want to see how special GGG is , i think he is but of course he needs to PROVE IT , and so far he made a very good run in MW but nothing that will take him to the next level ..... please Tom the guy peak is almost over , let us fans get what we want , a GGG fight with an Elite guy ... if nothing is available at 160 go look for it at 168 , degale will be perfect.
Man GGG is such a beast can't believe the haters gonna win and GGG just sails into the sunset with not a single standout win ............****ing boxing.

Two years ago this was a fight I would have liked probably more than any other in the sport. Now. Not so much. Still... rather over the hill Froch than another Wade or Monroe, so yeah, there's that.

Ain't happening though, not that I'd particularly blame Golovkin if it did - time's running out on his career and if he wants to get them $s in the bank it has to be worth exploring. More likely just smoke and mirrors IMO however.

If Froch hadn't retired it would have been a great fight. He is retired and should stay that way, I've no idea how a fight would play out with those two. GGG should fight Jacobs then Canelo...

Agree! Froch was a great fighter and tough as nails and he should stay retired. How old is Golovkin now?

Dude's 35 next April. Reckon he's got at best another 2 - 3 years at the top, probably less if he starts fighting bigger guys.
