    About as smart as it is to have two negotiations going on simultaneously (in the media at that). Then acting like your dealing in "good faith"

      Takes a lot, but this is definitely one of the dumber threads concerning this situation.

        Thanks for mentioning Lara. That is one of the other "slickster elite's" I was thinking about that ggg ducked.
        no, hes a world level 160 but hes not an elite slickster, cause hes not slick in the first place. Brooks probably just as slick and i wouldnt class him as a slick fighter either. Slick fighters are like lara, mayweather, dirrel etc, not daniel jacobs. hes an offensive power puncher, no defensive nous at all really. Thats why most people when talking about the fight say jacobs best chance is landing a big shot on ggg early

              I thought you had to be at least semi-intelligent to be a mod on this site but I guess I was wrong.

              1. The Froch tweet was a joke.

              2. It's easy to be generous with other people's money.

              3. Jacobs is a straight up ***** if the fight doesn't happen.

                So hes a "world level 160" (which is apparently just below elite) but you wouldnt call him an elite 160 though... Interesting.

                However you did agree that Jacobs would be the slickest fighter that ggg would have faced at this point.

                So to sum it up;

                I call Jacobs a slickster elite and you have now bargained me down to jacobs being an "african american, world level 160, slick, but not slickster"

                Am I getting this right?

                But he would be the slickest and the most elite fighter ggg has faced to date, correct?

                  I'm curious. Where do you rank ggg skills on a scale of 1-10 against all other current middleweights?
                  What's the problem?

                  Ask uncle Al to win the purse bid, pay Jacobs his $3 million (25%), and pay GGG $9 million (his 75%, respectively)...

                  Do you think that HBo can make GGG skip this purse split?

                    Unless you know what offers have been made and turned down it's impossible to know who is ducking who. Team GGG wanted the fight in December but Jacobs needed more time to train. Maybe Jacobs is the one who doesn't really want to fight that badly or he could be asking for an unreasonable amount of money. It seems like everything that goes wrong is always blamed on GGG on this forum. I see nothing wrong with team GGG talking with Froch's team about a possible fight. If the Jacobs fight falls through they want another option. There is nothing new or unusual about that. That is a normal part of the business of boxing.

                      lol no you arent getting it right at all. the point im making is jacobs isnt some mega slick fighter, ive never heard him called a slickster before i clicked on this dumb thread. i have serious serious doubts that ggg is thinking 'oh damn jacobs is too slick for me'. hes not some defensive, slippery, awkward fighter. Perhaps you should actually watch him fight rather than getting bogged down in tripping me up over saying 'african american' instead of 'black', cause you arent coming across as half as clever as you think you are.
