I think these statements are just the macho in Brook coming out. There will likely be no fight.

Brook stated what torture it was to make the weight >> before he went up to fight Golovkin.

This will be his first time trying to make 147 after putting on all that weight. Most probably the last 2-3 pounds will be impossible to shift. If he does make it he will have issues in the fight.

This would be a difficult fight if Brook had never thought Golovkin. If it happens he will be weight drained - my guess is he starts out good and then gets worn down in the mid and late rounds to a stoppage or slim MD.

Wilder is a fighter to be proud of, IMO.

I just wish he was better.

I agree and I think that he made these comments about making welter because Khan again has stated that he would fight Kell only at welter(loL) knowing the struggle Kell has with this.....Kell after his GGG fight said his career now lies at LM ....Kell will only do himself justice if he's honest here...!

Great fight! but in my homble opinion fighters are never the same when they move up a lot and try to move down again.

Roy Jones Jr, comes to my mind, right now I don't think Brook can make 147 healthy.

I think Spence wins the fight, don't know if by KO or UD.

And a healthy Tyson got KO'ed by Buster Douglas, I mean not excuses, if Brook loses it will be because Spence is a better fighter bu let's not assume that weight jumping don't affect performance, and this is a huge jump, Brook was 176 30 days before the weigh in, this is an insane drop.

BTW I think Spence beats Brook wether is healthy or not, I think Spence is 2 fights away from being the best WW of all.

Americans simply don't travel. Lacy and Bradley is that it in the last 10 years in terms of top fighters in Bradley's case or hype in Lacy's.

I do sort of think boxing needs an American superstar though. It should probably be Crawford but even he wants to add to his pension pot before he fights anyone good.

Recent history says Americans don't travel. Spence would be an anomaly. The fight will probably inexplicably happen in a high school gym.
I don't think so. Heavyweight boxing moved to and has prospered in Europe for the majority of the 21st century.

Cruiserweight and super middleweight have always had European stars and the 3 best guys to have fought there are European.

Other divisions are starting to follow suit. Shift not only in boxing talent/skill but also in fortunes.
