Spence may be good, but it's a big jump from his resume up to Brook. And Brook obviously has no fear. Fans going bonkers for Spence like he's some kind of God. IMO he'd be very fortunate to overcome Brook. It will be a bit of a back-and-forth fight, but I just don't see a healthy Brook allowing this Spence kid to show him up.

A healthy Brook allowed Carson Jones to show him up. Let's not over hype this opportunistic can crusher.

Americans simply don't travel. Lacy and Bradley is that it in the last 10 years in terms of top fighters in Bradley's case or hype in Lacy's.

I do sort of think boxing needs an American superstar though. It should probably be Crawford but even he wants to add to his pension pot before he fights anyone good.

Recent history says Americans don't travel. Spence would be an anomaly. The fight will probably inexplicably happen in a high school gym.
Recent History says that Eurobums make excuses and test positive when an American travels to their backyard, ring any bells? (Cough...Pedvetkin...cough).

Any fighter can have a bad night. I really don't see many flaws with Brook. IMO, if there's any hype it's Spence. Spence has just overwhelmed his B and C level competition up til now. Brook won't be overwhelmed. He isn't scared. Spence has fast hands and some pop, but Brook has that too. This won't be an easy fight for either guy, but IMO it's just a little bit easier for Brook with his experience.

I dunno, he'll think up an excuse, he is American after all.
... This can't work like that... It's Spence who would lose more than Brook -- anyway, Brook needs more time to properly heal his orbital bone... So...

Brook has spent almost the entirety of his 12 year pro career fighting cans. He has experience, but not much big fight experience. Brook is technically proficient, but doesn't have the best movement or stamina. He also can be troubled by pressure as shown in the Golovkin, and Jones fights. I think his weaknesses are pretty much Spence's strong points and there is still a very big question mark around how healthy he'll be moving back to 147.

I also think that... But it remains to see how well he recovers after injury and if he can make 147 in good health...

Did Spence bone your highschool sweetheart or steal your lunch box? Really seem to have a limb out for him.

"This is the boxing game. And if we win the bid, which I'm pretty sure we will, he has to come over here. He has to come to England and he has to go [back home] with his tail between his legs without that belt."
                      Yes Brook
