Shows the amount of fan boys and haters on this site in contrast to genuine fans of action packed fights and genuine chess matches of affairs by genuinely skilled and talented boxers.
Compare this thread or the like of Jack vs DeGale with the amount of comments and pages of something like GGG vs Jacobs, a glorified mismatch presented as a PPV and you get a scope for a who's who commenting as fan boys and haters and who the real boxing fans are, better still you can actually tell who is actually knowledgable about the sport in threads like these.Comment

I feel that should be about his only concern, with a largely pro Mexi fan base he'll need to silence them early. I would not rule out a Frampton stoppage this time, I expect Cruz to fight no different than last time a hope to pinch it on his work ethic and vocal fan base to swing the judges, if he opens up more than last time he will be hurt as he was when Frampton nearly stopped him.Comment

What were the viewing figures for Spence vs Algieri or Bundu weren't they like over 700k at the peak for the free to view airing on Fox? That fight would have had zero pre hype on, the viewing figures for this will be high.
NSB to me now is just a Pac vs Floyd forum and now they're no longer really the main topic Pac fans have shifted to sounding off about GGG and tearing down the accomplishments of Andre Ward and vice versa likewise for the Floyd fan boys.
If you avoid those threads this place is still a great forum where you can avoid all the idiots and actually discuss and debate with real and genuine fans of the sport.Comment

I expect Leo to be more cautious this fight and trying to utilize his lenght. Ultimately he'll have to try and walk Frampton down as Carl showed he's the better boxer.
I wouldn't rule out Santa Cruz however, the first fight was extremely competitive. Not a fan of Leo but he's talented enough, and possesses enough physical advantages to win a close decision.Comment

You are absolutely correct. He showed in the Mares fight, he can fight off the back foot behind a nice jab.
The most success he had against Frampton, came in Cruz finished his combinations up with a jab, always catching Frampton. One round he threw a 1-2-1, and the last jab was so punishing.
But I feel if he tries to box off the back foot too much, he'll lose his greatest asset, which is his stamina, and incredible work rate. While Frampton was able to stymy this SOMEWHAT, Cruz STILL threw around 1000 punches.
He'll need to transition, and switch it up from working his way inside behind the jab to then boxing "inside out," if you will, changing distances often. The key is to start and finish everything with that long, punishing jab.
First fight was extremely competitive, but it was also clear that Frampton won, IMO. He landed the cleaner punches, and looked to actually be the physically stronger fighter for most of the fight. Although it was clear Cruz had the superior gas tank, as Frampton took is foot off the gas, and coasted, in which Cruz took advantage of.
Cruz is going to get hit when he opens up, and when he finds himself in that mid-range, going between the inside, and the outside where he succeeds.
There's so many dynamics at play in this fight, and you're so right - Cruz is NOT just a face-first mindless come-forward brawler. He's more of an "inside technician," who can use his length to box on the outside as well.
I can't wait till this Saturday, and no matter who wins, it'll be a great fight.
I just think Frampton will improve on his timing even more from the first fight, now knowing Cruz's rhythm, and range... He'll also tie Cruz up a lot more, where in the first fight, he let Cruz tee off a lot necessarily while he was taking rounds off. I wouldn't be surprised if Cruz leans into a wicked up and under counter straight and gets stopped. Also wouldn't be surprised if Cruz dug deep, and pinned Frampton on the ropes, and forced a stoppage.Comment
