I'll tell you the BIG difference here.

The guys you mentioned knew their worth in negotiations. They weren't elite by any stretch, and they knew that, but they were willing to accept what was offered to fight Golovkin.

Lara doesn't know his worth. He's acting like he's some star in boxing who thinks a fight with Golovkin would be this mega fight. His own manager Luis DeCubas aka Porky the Pig, came out months ago and said they wouldn't accept $1M for a Golovkin fight because "That's what they got against Delvin".

Who do they think they are? They have a fighter who puts up terrible ratings, stinks up the joint and gets booed out of the building in all of his fights, and now wants more than he's worth.

The reality is that Lara has a 23-2-2 record. He's not marketable and He's not elite. He's not P4P and that's OK because neither were the guys that you mentioned that fought Golovkin. The difference is the expectations. Lara's side is expecting over $1M for a fighter that doesn't deserve it.

yes he has and he holds a world title so that makes him very relevant the point is Brook would never have got the fight if it wasn't for Eubank Jr running away from it If Lara was British and in Brooks same position he'd have had the chance of getting it too.

What PPV did he headline? And doesn't Lara hold a world title in the division above Brook?

All of this and he'll no doubt end up fighting someone without a world title that is terrible and will lack all the qualities, qualifications or whatever they said that Lara needed and still they will justify it. Probably backtrack and revert back to ''Lara is boring''.

They always moan these big fights don't get made, fighters are ducking, fighters pricing themselves out and such but they excuse it all when it comes to this guy.

But his own manager has recently said that they're currently happy at JMW and that there'd be many obstacles that would need to be overcome to make the fight. Lara would want a lot of money for fighting him, even though it wouldn't be a big fight.

Sorry I just don't agree with that. I think Canelo really does need Golovkin to have any degree of credibility with his fans. As far as Lara goes I agree that Lara is an excellent skilled hit and run fighter but after Golovkin pounds him down, he would be criticized for taking the fight. You know he would.
