I see the usual posters on this website are having good, analytical conversation about boxing as usual. LOL... Anyway, I think Kov would need to put Ward down to beat him. I have a hard time seeing a decision that Ward doesn't win. I think a lot of fans will be happy if Kov knocks Ward out. As far as excitement goes, Kov is preferred to many people. He knocks people out, which is attractive to many fans. Unfortunately, Ward isn't appealing to many for various reasons that I don't care to get entangled in. One of which is his purer boxing skills and a lack of knockout power. To each his/her own.

I think Ward will show that he's the dominant boxer and won't be as affected by Kov's power as others think. His jab to the body will take the power out of Kov come the later rounds. Also, we will see how well Kov can take some punches himself. For all the questions surrounding Ward's chin, we don't know much about Kov's either. Will Kov be able to keep Ward at the end of his punches? Can Kov fight on the inside? This is the kind of stuff I'm looking forward to finding out... not built-in excuses about headbutting or discrediting the champion's resume. I'm up for this one.

I love this fight because Ward winning a decision is 50/50. Just like Kov dominating Ward or possibly knocking him out is also 50/50. Ward was great at 168 but he hasn't proven anything at 175 and now he faces the very best at that weight. I actually give Kov the edge on both fronts, boxing and fighting, because Kov is the only one of the two that has done both at 175. Regardless of who wins what I really want to see is how each fighter response when the other is controlling the action. I see the momentum swinging several times during the fight and I think the winner will be the best body puncher. I second you, I'm up for this one too.

Beating Hopkins really doesn't mean much at this point......

Hopkins has been on the decline for some time and has lost pretty much to every decent sized fighter with movement. Taylor, Calzhage although draw in my opinion, Dawson, Kov. He's only beaten fighters recently that come straight to him which is a sign of age. Other than that he's been losing to fighters with foot movement for some time now. Hopkins was too old and slow to close the gap on Kov which is why Ward wasn't really concerned. Chilemba did better than Hopkins vs Kov because he had the legs to close gap and move in and out. This will be a good fight and I believe Ward will win because Kov is too linear of a fighter.

So what? Is that not true, PLENTY of people hate on Ward, it stands to reason they will be happy to see him knocked out, esp GGG fans.

Nothing wrong with what he said, I am an African American, and a fan of both fighters, as well should be, this is a fantastic matchup. Lets not make this situation something it's not. Yes SK def posted some questionable pictures on the internet a little while back, that does not make him a racist.
