You do realize how blown out of proportion that was based on the fight with Kessler right? I've watched the excellence of Ward for years and will continue to appreciate him and his skills as long as he is active.

I am not taking sides here,but is baffling how you guys talk.If I were to meet someone at a bar and that person shares the same passion as we all do here(boxing)I would be very happy,we might disagree but doubt i will end up fighting him..You both talk like we must agree with what you guys say..Chill man and honestly I have not met one guy who has been sorry to fight another,not on the gym I used to train anyways.

You just feel empty when you don't have that definitive best fighter in the sport, so as much as it would hurt as a fan of Ward's...I at least have that part to sit on.

Kovalev understands that if he can't put ward down at least a couple of times, never mind a knockout, it's 99% possible that he won't get the victory in a very close boxing match; assuming he can make it close enough. There is no clear cut a-side guy here so these easily corruptible judges will go for home court advantage baby!

Bottom line, kovalev even though he is the champion--must bring the fight more than the challenger, it's ironic but that's what he needs to do because he will be fighting on the home-court of the other guy. This is one of those times where light punches whether it's slightly blocked or missed an inch will be counted as clean effective punches by those legendary compubox boys who is eager to push that button blindly, a time where minor borderline illegal tactics will be allowed by the official. A very close fight is not an option for kovalev and he fully understands this.
