marquez v pacquiao 1. cause anyone would be amazed that a guy who got knocked down 3 times in 1st round could go onto get a draw

Chess matches will never work for beginners. They might work IF the running and clinching are not in excess. One thing is certain though. They will remember the excessive clincher and runner more than his opponent and follow him to see him lose.

Hagler/Hearns. Short and sweet, tons of excitement. cuz casuals get bored after about 10 minutes.

            Vazquez Marquez 2 or 3.

Has the action of the best fights of all time, but at such an incredibly high skill level.

Same with MAB, Morales. But Vazquez Marquez was more dramatic.

For me, it would be Micky Ward-Arturo Gatti I or Erik Morales-Marco Antonio Barrera I or maybe Micky Ward-Emmanual Augustus. What fight would you show?

I have to throw in George Foreman-Ron Lyle as well.
It depends on what else that friend watches or finds entertaining, tbh; was the person more a fan of Ray Lewis' dominant Ravens defense or did the enjoy "the greatest show on turf" St Louis Rams? Does the person appreciate the ball handling ability of Real Madrid, or would they rather see the flourish of Messi for Barca? Are they more inclined to sit through a program and let the characters develop over time, or are they more interested in the name performer that they know having a show?

Without answers to stuff like that, you can't really gauge what it'd take to hook a non-boxing fan.

Spit-balling into the wind, Thurman-Porter, Mayweather-Maidana I, and Garcia-Matthysse wouldn't be bad places to start
