I thought Vargas should have been more dynamic and adjusted. He should have had a mentality that somehow someway he would not leave that ring until he landed as much damage as possible. I wanted him to throw some looping low left upper cuts and follow up with his right hand. I think the problem from my perspective is not realizing Vargas doesn't have the power to just control range and fling wide power shots cementing his feet. He's to light and skinny down low. From what I saw, he felt his power was most beneficial fighting like Wlad. Pushing telephone pole jabs and straights with your upper body thrusting in. That obviously isn't a winning strategy with how Pac weaves out of range whilst controlling a pressured in your face distance to flash in with his own inside game. Vargas is one dimensional in that sense. He should have been balls against the wall doing a trial and error finding at least something that might work. Would like to see him and Algieri fight

everyone is copying jmm 1 or morales 1, where morales copied some of what jmm did.

Not counter punching because of jmm 4 ko. It's how u beat pac since 2004.

The big dudes like delahoya, hatton, cotto, marg just didn't do it because they thought lil pac was too small to worry about.

Fantasize all you want homie if it helps you sleep better at night about your boy, but that chubster Maidana is a nothing but a f**king glorified career gate keeper

        Pac is an ATG

For the rest of time Manny's name will be remembered in boxing, Maidana on the other hand will be completely forgotten forever in 5 years

Seems like his opponents see that speed then get popped with a good shot, they are no longer coming to fight. That's what Pac does, he's a very good counter puncher but if no one wants to engage he's willing to press albeit more cautiously.

              Pac is a coaster now.

If you fight him in 1st gear, he'll fight 2nd gear.

If you rush him and go all out, pac will go match you.

              Ppl need to realize this.

Older pac guns it when u gun for him.

If u try to box and be conservative, pac will coast.

The last time we saw ferocious pac was when jmm dropped him and pac went all out, getting ktfo in the process.

What happened to the last 5 fighters that tried to press Pacquiao?

                  Margarito
                  Rios
                  Cotto (pre-4th round)
                  Hatton
                  De La Hoya

His speed, footwork, and angles are too unpredictable to walk into and simultaneously be prepared to defend well against. It can be done, but why follow the lead of the 5 previously mentioned when JMM wrote a blueprint that doesn't include pressing the fight?

Just a reminder how great Morales is.
You're talking about a one-handed fighter in the 1st fight. Once Manny added a serviceable right, Morales immediately became "shot"

Its weird, they brace up and are high on adrenaline, but they throw the right hand with all they have. Vargas landed the right hand with all his might and hit Pac flush, and had him out on his feet a few times, that alone should mean he won the round, he hit Manny flush with righ thand power shots snapping his head back.
