yeah, brook hasnt achieved as much as the other two although hes certainly not some no hoper. But most people slate that fight purely cause of the size difference. They didnt say 'oh brooks not that great' they just said 'its a middleweight picking on a welter'. So i dont see how they can criticise that fight so heavily but not criticise the de la hoya and trinidad match ups.

All the fights you mentioned are Money grab fights just like Canelo-Khan for example ,its some moveing up mania recently ,and Sanchez is a guy who is heating it up even more,i personaly dont care if he move up or not.

yeah, seems to be the case. Fighters get torn to shreds when they are active and then glorified when they are old or retired. Klitschko got absolutely torn to shreds when he was champion, surely one of the most criticised fighters, now hes old and not champion, hes spoken about so positively 'unbeatable in his prime years'.

Yeah the De La Hoya fight was definitely of a far larger magnitude but people hate on Golovkin just for the sake of doing it nowadays.

Also, De La Hoya held the 160 lb WBO title and hadn't fought at 147 in 3 1/2 years, and Trinidad fought Hopkins after winning the WBA middleweight title and hadn't been at 147 since beating De La Hoya 2 years prior

I always thought the whole point of weight classes were that you fight at the weight class that you are most comfortable at. ANd you get 3 or 4 weight world champions these days who win an alphabet title against some bum and then move up to the next one so they can say they are a multiweight world champ, i'd rather someone clear out a division than do that.

And I mean seriously for the most part most of these guys who are winning 3+ titles aren't even THE MAN in more than 1 or 2 of those divisions after beating those bums, like you mention, so what does it really mean?

Is it better to be a 4 division champion, but only being the real #1 guy in one division, for a short duration of time, of those 4 or is it better to be a 1 division champion & being THE MAN in that one division for several years? I'd say the latter easily & I think most reasonable boxing fans would agree.
