Mayweather stayed on top for an unimaginable amount of time. That will never be duplicated. Triple G is a good fighter and one of the most entertaining boxers to watch in the sport. Its a shame he didn't break through in the US sooner because he would probably have that star power by now if he did. Haters will always hate on Floyd's legacy regardless. If he did fight and beat GGG people would just say Triple G was drained because of the CW. Golovkin is a MW at the end of the day. We are talking about a WW and a MW. Its a fantasy fight its not realistic.
yeah i'd like to see it for sure. That comment is an objective comment. I was never really a fan of floyd but i didnt dislike him much either, definitely didnt hate him like a lot of people did. And obviously he was a fantastic fighter. But no doubt about it he loves the limelight and he just wants people talking about him again. I dont think he will fight again, too risky at his age where he could turn old overnight.

How can anybody hate on that?
I'd hope they wouldn't. DSG-Thurman is a battle of two prime undefeated name WWs. The winner would be a fresh fight for Floyd at his natural weight. I would love to see Mayweather tested by one of these undefeated lions at 147. If he loses he passes the torch. If he wins then its a great way to hit 50-0.

Fair enough. I personally think the lure of 50-0 will eventually draw him out for one more fight. Only time will tell.

Again, you already seen floyd beat both fighters with your own eyes.

Why do you wanna see that again? Neither fight was even entertaining.

No hard core fan is interested in that. The casual fan will buy it because they don't know any other boxers.

Floyd vs pacquiao was boring. Pac vs Crawford will be a better fight.

Floyd vs canelo was a one sided schooling. Canelo vs golovkin would be a barn burner.

You can pay for those predictable rematches if you want to tho. Boxing won't move forward with either one of those rematches. New blood is needed. Not another one sided floyd win against fighters he already dominated.

You seem to care more about the ppv numbers than the actual fight in the ring.

Rematches are necessary when the first fight is close. Not when you win 11 out of 12 rounds

You are the one that said fights people want to see. Now you want to change it up. How do we measure how many people wanted to see a fight? Could it be PPV numbers?

You can't measure ppv numbers before the fight happens.

Mayweather vs pacquiao was built up for 5 years. Everybody talked about that fight. So it was no suprise that it did 4 million buys.

Now it's 2016 and nobody talks about a rematch except fanboys who act like may 2, 2015 never happened.

The fight won't happen and if it does, Floyd will win in the same fashion and you will probably say a 3rd fight is necessary

Pacquiao fights more rematches than anyone in the history of the sport. It's a young stud in his stable that his promoter wants him to fight. He should man up and stop chasing a rematch with a retired fighter.

Real fans want pac vs bud and canelo vs ggg.

Fanboys want Floyd vs manny 2 and floyd vs canelo 2

Pointless rematches don't help boxing. The sport needs new stars, not a 40 year old legend continuing to out class fighters he already beat.
