We already know what those fights look like.

Pacquiao vs Crawford and Canelo vs Golovkin are better fights than floyd vs Pac 2 and floyd vs canelo 2
The winner of a Canelo-Pacquiao fighting Mayweather would be the top 4 biggest fight ever guaranteed. Is that not wanting to be seen by fans?

That would have been an underwhelming way for Floyd to get #50. There is no way Vargas would provide Floyd with enough guaranteed money for a return. Heck even if Floyd does fight the DSG-Thurman winner, people will say its an easy fight for Mayweather despite the fact he is almost 40. Pacman did have consequences to not fighting TC with the HBO PPV dilemma. Yeah we know Floyd likes them May dates but the landscape points to a couple interesting PPV options in September. The Garcia-Thurman winner, chasing history at a catchweight against then possible WBO MW champ Canelo or fighting Pacman if Pacman somehow gets by Crawford. The only really marketable fight in May would be to go straight into the Pacman rematch and who knows you might be right and this might be the fight that happens.

Mayweather vs. GGG @ 154 on Cinco de Mayweather Weekend would be very marketable! We've seen Floyd beat Canelo and Pacquiao already, and neither fight was close. GGG would be HUGE!!!

GGG is not a marketable attraction in terms of PPV here in the US. GGG is an HBO fighter so the negotiations would be difficult and there is too much political red tape for that to be a realistic option. Triple G needs to focus on landing the Jacobs fight to continue to boost his profile. Floyd would do bigger business fighting Pacman in a rematch.

GGG is not an attraction as the "A-side," but if he fights Floyd or Canelo, that's a whole different story! The whole world is waiting for Canelo vs. GGG, only Manny fans are waiting for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao II! Mayweather vs. GGG would make more money than any other fight we could dream of! Don't forget, Mayweather's contract with Showtime ended with the Berto fight! HBO would go crazy for Mayweather vs. Golovkin!

your crazy if you think that fight wouldnt be massive. JUst cause golovkin isnt massive name himself, doesnt mean a mayweather/golovkin fight wouldnt be massive. It would be huge event cause it would be sold as a fight in which mayweather would at the very least be seen as having a high chance of losing his 0, and the bookies odds would be very very close which is unheard of for a mayweather fight.

and to be honest my opinion is that mayweather wont be coming back. hes just an attention whore and wants people to talk about him again, which is what people are now doing. I think floyd expected his legacy to be far greater than it has been, people pretty much stopped talking about him after he retired, certainly very few people want to see him back in the ring.

Well HBO would have to throw a crazy amount of money at Mayweather for him to even consider it. It was an ugly split when mayweather jumped to SHO. I think Canelo-GGG does a million buys maybe at this point. Not enough casuals know Golovkin yet. He's barely starting to get on the radar with the buzz of the possible Canelo showdown. Mayweather and Pacman are still by far much bigger stars and you have to imagine a rematch would produce over 1.5 million buys. Don't get me wrong if Mayweather-GGG gets made I'm definitely watching but I don't think the incentive is there to get that fight made now.

Floyd vs DSG/Thurman winner is a legit fight.

How can anybody hate on that?

Yet you want Triple G to fight him. You would love to see Mayweather back in the ring for that fight. Its because whether you love him or hate him you have to respect the work ethic. Mayweather stayed on top for an unimaginable amount of time. That will never be duplicated. Triple G is a good fighter and one of the most entertaining boxers to watch in the sport. Its a shame he didn't break through in the US sooner because he would probably have that star power by now if he did. Haters will always hate on Floyd's legacy regardless. If he did fight and beat GGG people would just say Triple G was drained because of the CW. Golovkin is a MW at the end of the day. We are talking about a WW and a MW. Its a fantasy fight its not realistic.
