Come on Golovtards, enlighten me/us. I actually think this is a 50/50 fight or pretty close to it.

I don't see how it is either. And I'd be rooting for Golovkin...but Canelo's a beast too, man.

**** if I had to put money on it I think I'd actually have to lean towards Canelo if anything. Canelo's a better boxer than GGG. The way I see it is Gennady would have to stop Canelo, which of course is possible because 3G boasts very arguably the most pound for pound power in the sport -- but has Canelo ever even been down on the mat in his career? Let alone stopped?

If it goes the distance, which is way more possible than Golovkin fans would like to admit, can anyone see him outboxing Canelo?

It's hard for me to see that.

It ain't an easy fight by any stretch and Canelo is a very talented fighter who continues to improve whereas Golovkin may already be on the slide but for me it's not so much a case of Golovkin outboxing Canelo as simply outworking him. Both are very accurate punchers but Golovkins an 80 punch a round kinda guy and Canelo's a 40 punch a round kinda guy, and I've not seen enough from Canelo in terms of ring control or dictating the pace that tells me he's gonna change that around.

its not a 50/50 fight. why on earth is this site start making out its a 50/50 fight, a few months ago noone gave canelo a hope and for some reason this sites pretty much making him favourite lol. golovkins 1/6 on in the UK to beat canelo (you can bet in advance for fights over here), which means the bookies have it as a complete mismatch. WHich it is. FOr some reason brook landing a few shots on GGG has made everyone think alvarez can do the same thing, GGG wont fight anything like he did in the brook fight, i dont get why people dont understand this. He wasnt gettting frustrated against brook he was just swinging until one landed and he wasnt fussed what came back. Canelo looked the same old fighter with the same old vulnerabilities against smith and khan, hes not some destroyer however much you lot make him out to me. The bookies are spot on and its not really that competitive a fight.

2014 i had 75/25 Golovkin (fresh Alvarez's loss to FM)
2015 i had 65/35 Golovkin (after Alvarez's win over Cotto)
              2016 i have 55/45 Golovkin (after GGG-Brook)

Definitely not a foregone conclusion. Should be a great fight. Thats why we all want to see it. Hope it gets made before Golovkin is too old. I think the perception is that GGG might dominate is probably due to the Canelo teams reluctance to making it happen.

If Floyd is walking you back and Liam is getting you against the ropes, it's not a good look. He may do well countering and working off the back foot but if he thinks languishing off the ropes is going to benefit him against someone like Golovkin, he's in for a rude awakening. Like someone else said, unless his output increases also, he's in trouble. Gennady is a work house in there, and it's going to take a lot to slow him down. And something I think people are over looking, I don't see Canelo being able to tie GGG up. If Gennady doesn't want his opponent to tie him up, it's very hard. Once he puts his head under your chin and rips his arms out of your clinch, he's not easy to hold. There's just not enough from Canelo that will make me see him beat Golovkin. Don't even get me started on the jab.

They see him running through bums and think he can do that to everyone. If Canelo wins their excuse will be "he got old", there was ******s like _maxi saying he was past prime after the Brook fight. Nobody knows how good Golovkin really is because he's never fought a quality fighter, so to write Canelo off is ridiculous.
