you guys are right, it was Bonsante, another Contender fighter, who was supposed to fight Green. I was about to say...if this dude skipped out on the Green fight and fought within the next month against someone else, then that's ****ed up and pure cowardice. I'm guessing Brinkley was the one that fought Bonsante twice?

Yup...Bonsante was losing all the rounds against him in the Contender fight and pulled off a KO with seconds left in the final round. Got swept on the cards (IMO) on the rematch on ESPN but was given a gift by some ******ed judges (Lederman's daughter one of them.)

Brinkley looked like he had it early, but then fatigue and Spina's will overcame him. This has to be seen as a real roadblock for Brinkley's career. He had the contendor, but now hes getting KO'ed on body shots by guys that make Gene Fullmer look like Wilfredo Benitez. He's done.

Never saw the first fight, but the second fight was a complete robbery. One of the worst I've ever seen. I know it was only a 6 round fight, but it was anything but close.

Spina really did look like ****. I was really dissapointed in Brinkley, e****ially after his reaction to the ring doctor letting him fight on. He seemed really pumped up and excited, and patted the doctor on the back. To go out like that....dissapointing to say the least.
