Hell, at least Brinkley might get released from his Contender contract. This loss could be a blessing in disguise.

            Nope. That was Anthony Bonsante.

Bonsante really impressed me last night. I really thought he was a bit overrated, judging from his recent performances, but he dictated that fight the entire night. Excellent head movement, counterpunching and staying within himself. I thought it would be over quick, judging from how soft he was around the middle. But he had good stamina, probably because he wasnt wasting energy or punches the way Spina was. Spina did not impress me one bit, tho I give him credit for landing the shot. But one has to wonder if Brinkley hadnt been too soft around the waist, would he have been able to take that shot. I also think the fight was stopped prematurely. Anyway, hand it to ESPN for giving us three great fights last night.

Spina needs a lot of work. When he first started out,he was knocking out a lot of bums.So he got into the punchers mindframe.Don't bother winning rounds, just keep swinging wildly. He hasn't improved on his boxing skills at all since day one.But at least he got a legit win this time. Not a ****** hometown decision.

Brinkley looked very limited and ordinary while handling the guy. Brinkleys opponent had the heart but lacked much in natural vision and skill.

Brinkley essentialy quit by turning his back as he did to get away from him. After taking a serious shot you cant run away like that, especially right after an 8 count. Notcie he didnt complain when the ref stopped it. It was a good call in my opinion.

After watching that fight last night it dawned on me that Spina would be a perfect come back opponent for Lacy.He is undefeated, ****y and taylor made to get KTFO by Mr.Lacy..........

you guys are right, it was Bonsante, another Contender fighter, who was supposed to fight Green. I was about to say...if this dude skipped out on the Green fight and fought within the next month against someone else, then that's ****ed up and pure cowardice. I'm guessing Brinkley was the one that fought Bonsante twice?
