In a few years could he be good enough to retire Wlad? Could he beat Wlad now?

aha no worries, noone is going to agree on everything and everyone has fighters they like and dislike. But i follow and am a fan of lots of boxers on here, not just golovkin. I will admit ive not usually been a follower of the cruiser division but its starting to heat up a lot now, and as you say, the guys in that division have the balls to fight each other.Even though I hate your username and don't really like your take on the Can Crushing King's situation I respect the fact you follow a cruiserweight, a cruiserweight at that that fights like a pure boxer and not some all action Knockout hypeman!!
Kudos to you, cruiserweight is one of the best divisions in boxing and arguably the most underrated division as well!
The best fight the best there, no excuses and they almost all can crack and want to fight each other!Comment

would be good to find out, i think skill wise usyk is levels above anyone in that division, but hes a pretty stocky guy already and im not sure where the extra weight is going to be put on. Saying that, he managed to negate joe joyces size pretty well in that video i put up.Comment

If Wlad is totally forgot everything he could do than Usyk would easily beat him, his footwork is that better now. Wlad is slow, his reflexes are almost gone. But Wlad has(had?) great all-around skills - body movement, short midrange hooks, combinations. If he is able to recall anything from that, with his punching power he would ko Usyk.
I mean, young Wlad skill-wise was a beast, big puncher with incredible speed. Weak chin and bad corner took couple of years of his career.Comment

Agreed, your the first Golovkin fan that gave me a decent convo so far and reaction!aha no worries, noone is going to agree on everything and everyone has fighters they like and dislike. But as you said, your a fan of other fighters and I'll take your word for that!
Yeah man, please check more of it!
Dorticos(or I like to call him Doritos) vs Kalenga is a FOTY candidate
Then Lebedev vs Ramirez was good even though was really short and Bellew vs Junior Makuba was something out of a underdog movie..really inspiring!!
One of my favorite divisions and I'm looking forward to seeing more of Usyk, now I just gotta come up with a nickname for him(I usually do that for all the fighters I have an interest in whether I like them or have disdain for them!!)Comment

I think he is great and will make an extremely good HW one day.
Im very interested to see how someone like Joshua would handle the constant intelligent movement, fitness and speed that someone like Usyk brings.
Still some quality fights for him at CW though. Should look to unify as quickly as possible. I think he has the beating of the CW division even despite how good it isComment

yeah i'd definitely be rooting for usyk as a heavyweight. ALthough these top guys obviously still have a lot of skill, to me, they dont look as obviously skillful as someone like usyk. Would be great to see him go up there and outbox some of them, but the trend with joshua, wilder, fury is of huge heavyweights, and although usyk is by no means small im not completely sure he has the physicality to compete with them. It would be a huge ask for him to outbox a 6ft 9 tyson fury for example/I think he is great and will make an extremely good HW one day.

Yeah Fury is a different kettle of fish, but i think Usyk vs the slower feet HW's like Joshua or Pulev would be very interesting.yeah i'd definitely be rooting for usyk as a heavyweight. He has some experience in the WSB fighting SHWs and he looked very good. Though thats only 5 rnds and with pillow glovesComment

yeah i watched his fight with joe joyce yesterday which made me think of this thread. Looked really good in that one, although think joyce has got better since then. Hopefully joe turns professional himself soon, think hes got a good style for the prosComment

Definitely the most talented CW out there and I'd favour him over the lot but its a nasty division loaded with not just talented fighters in their own right but huge punchers too boot. Dorticos, Gassiev, Lebedev too name a few. You can't really rule any of the top fighters out of beating each other. I think Drozd is super underrated he's like a big Roman Gonzales though injury prone and getting on in age I'd love to see him fight Usyk. They're two excellent technicians.
As much as I like Usyk he's remained a little bit too amateurish for me personally. He's not a great puncher but I'd like too see him sit down on his punches more.Comment
