Funny. Everybody wants to fight GGG and are sure they can win... but then they overprice themselves, asking ridiculous money, because they know it could be their last fight!

"Until one of them drop out" what other reason would golovkin dropout other then losing bid and not being allowed to fight on a pbc/sho platform?

The problem Jacobs has is he brings nothing to the table which makes the fight only worth about $4-5 million at best which would give GGG about $3.5 million of that. Someone would have to bid $10 million plus in order for Jacobs to get the specific number in his head. Even Haymon is not going bid that much knowing 75% will go to GGG. The other way out for Jacobs is to give up his title which is the only thing he has going! It's funny we have not heard anything from Jacobs once the GGG/Brooks fight was over. Jacobs has been quiet as a mouse!
why do folks continue to tell this lie? Daniel Jacobs is coming to the table with Showtime being willing to put a significant amount of money behind the US TV rights, and a fight (Golovkin-Jacobs) that Lou DiBella can sell out Barclays Center with.

All DiBella needs to do is bid more than K2 (or any promoter) is willing to bid; K2 bids $4m, DBE bids $4.1m, and Lou DiBella covers his bid off of the Barclays Center live gate and the Showtime site fee (have no doubt that Eddie Hearn can work out a deal for the UK TV rights, among other revenue deals).

Jacobs gets $1m from the formal bid, plus a share on the upside of the event from DiBella.

K2's every action seems to indicate that that is not an option for them.

Try to negotiate a fair deal, but if that's not possible then just go to purse bids. If Jacobs still isn't satisfied with that then he should publically say so and drop out of the mandatory position.

I said "it could be"... Nuance! This said, it's no secret some are outpricing themselves when it comes to fighting GGG. Ask around... (plus: Rubio is out, Geale is out, Lemieux and Brooks ..we'll have to see how they react to next valued opponent, Wade who?,...)

In any profession who says I want to work harder for significantly less. This low ball offer is worse than what GBP is offering GGG. At least give Jacobs what he got for Quillen fight at a minimum my goodness. The event is going to sellout and tickets will be at a slight premium.
If $3m is the expected price, DiBella/Haymon crush that number easily; between the money that's likely going to be brought to the table from Showtime and the live gate from Barclays Center (Golovkin-Jacobs likely sells out the building at aggressive pricing), let alone the international TV money and sponsors, DiBella easily covers a $4.5m-$5m bid on the fight.

You add in the possibility that Haymon/DiBella may even be willing to lose some money on the fight, to give their guy the best chance to win, and K2's got a pretty expensive open bid to face down.

Boy is that the truth. They're in the business so they have to "appear" to want the fight. Add Jacobs to the list with Saunders, Alvarez, Eubanks and the rest of them. Can't blame them really. They want a big payday if they're going to risk their health and future livelihood.

I really don't understand how this fight became difficult to make, the super champ gets x%, the regular champ gets x%, so why is fighter x requesting for a better split when they know that the rules doesn't favour them?
