Also if GGG is "Lucky" to break even with a GREAT matchup with Jacobs why should Canelo offer him more??? So your saying 95% of the money / profit would come from the "A-Sider" in that fight???

Jacobs is nuts, his own promoter isn't going to make a purse bid so large (12mil) it gets Jacobs 3 million from 25%.

I could see them making a purse bid hoping GGG can't fight off of HBO, and vacates, but they might lose the bid, in which case Jacobs will be fighting for much less than he could have negotiated for, or they might win and HBO might allow it, in which case Jacobs still isn't paid what he wants.

DiBella doesn't have to bid $12m; he simply needs to bid more on the fight than K2 is willing to bid.

Whatever promoter wins the bid shares the upside with their fighter.

Agreed - what even happened to the first purse bid order from the wba? Golovkin's absolut eprime is behind him now and I just want to see him in meaningful fights asap. Would like to see Jacobs in good fights too but am less confidant that will happen.

I'm not bothered by Jacobs doing what he's doing at all, I can understand why he is doing it. I just wish his side would be more public about their issues. Look Jacobs is a great talent with a questionable chin and stands a good chance of having his career derailed but he's willing to take that risk for the right amount, problem is that amount isn't justifiable, at that point you vacate and move on. Same thing I said about Canelo, if you simply vacate people move the fk on with life. You just can't be going out there popping off at the gums and making it seem like the issue isn't you.

The fight was scheduled for purse bid and K2, not Jacobs' camp, called for the extension.

K2's extension is again up tomorrow, so let's see who's holding things up.
