Comments Thread For: Golovkin Would Consider 154 For Pacquiao, Says Sanchez

It's obvious they're trying to sell GGG to the highest bidder. If Ward/Kov does great numbers we'll hear them talking about fighting the winner. It's never been about the belts, breaking Hopkins record. The plan has always been to fight bums until they can get a cash out fight.Comment

154 would be big for Manny, meantime 154 would be a big weight drain for Golovkin.
So Manny at a weight that wouldn't be comfortable for him vs a weakened Golovkin - interesting fight.
This can't be compared to GGG dropping weight for Canelo as Canelo is already big for any weight under 160, re-hydrating to above GGG's weight as it is, so weight-draining GGG under 160 for Canelo would just be to stack the odds against him.
Pac v GGG would also sell one hell of a lot of tickets - makes perfect sense to me.Comment

The problem here is that Golovkin and his team talk out of both sides of their mouth regarding catch weights.Comment

I can't knock him for not fighting the winner of Kovalev Ward, that's 15 lbs north of his weight class. Saying this dumb **** though makes me blame GGG side more for not making the Canelo fight. I agreed with them that it should be at 160 but I don't wanna hear you're willing to fight little ass Pac at 154 then complain about not wanting to fight Canelo at 157-158.Comment
