You don't do that if you're a "poor" defensive fighter. And if that's poor...what does that make Maidana, who got hit with 1 out of every 2 punches? Horrific?
Maidana of all people has a very underrated defense.

The first fight he landed more because it was a war. The Pac/Floyd fight was more of a chess match. You can't just compare numbers because how the fight plays out matters.

    It's off topic, but:

Manny is very poor defensively, he'd get hit even more if he wasn't throwing so much, and he gets rocked from time to time straight up.

I've spent days on this site defending Maidana's boxing ability and defense so I am really exhausted on that front but I will maintain my stance on the subject that he is both a criminally underrated as a boxer and as a defender.

Dude I know you're a Maidana fan but seriously, you're living on a different planet than I am if you think that Marcos Maidana is better from a defensive standpoint than Pacquiao.

I don't care if it was a chess match or not, if Manny was as "poor" as you say, Floyd would've landed at better than a 34% clip in the 12 rounds he had against him. And conversely, if Maidana was as underrated as you say, he wouldn't have gotten hit with 1 out of every 2 punches that came his was for 24 rounds.

For 24 rounds Floyd connected on 50% plus of his shots on Maidana...lmao. Jesus if that's "underrated" defense then I shudder to think what your version of "poor" defense is...Floyd landing at 70%?

Hagler and hopkins face 147 lbers moving up and get praised. With ggg he gets scolded. How dare you try to beat up the great ww's of our era. Beating Manny, brook, and mayweather does nothing for ggg according to you turds but hagler beating leonard and duran makes him a legend. Racism cough cough.

In the past, Abel Sanchez has stated in dozens of interviews that middleweight king Gennady Golovkin would only come down to the junior middleweight limit for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. - who held the WBC/WBA world titles at the weight. Sanchez and Golovkin refused to fight Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez at anything lower than the middleweight limit of 160.

I mean, I just said I didn't want to discuss it more as I am exhasuted from doing so.

I'm not going to reply to this even though I could. I'm just over defending him for now.

Just know I hold my position on this.

Why would Pacquiao choose to fight Golovkin when he could fight Canelo and make much more money? Golovkin team need to stop dreaming they bring nothing to the table, take the 10 mil or fight mismatches on HBO for 2 mil. That's their choices.

Hell even Josesito Lopez for f**k's sake landed at a 42% clip on Maidana in those 6 rounds before he got stopped.

Pac against Bradley, who is leagues above Lopez as a boxer, landed at 19% in their first fight, 22% in their second, and 33% in their third.

                  JOSESITO LOPEZ

little g and his team are the biggest jokes in all of boxing. they cried ALL year because canelo wanted him to come down to face him. canelo finally caves in and gives him 160 and a career high pay day. he still refuses. now he's talking about fighting floyd and pac at 154. little g is a disgrace. looks like he's willing to fight anybody at 154 as long as their name isn't canelo. smh. lets just be honest. little g knows good and well canelo would annihilate him at 154. the proof is in the pudding. little g **** riders will stay quiet though. bunch of clowns.
