I've seen very few big fights live up to their hype. It's quite a task, really. The other Ward and Gatti went above and beyond as did Morales-Barrera I, but it doesn't happen a lot. I will say that if it turns into a snoozefest with Ward controlling Kovalev, it's because Kovalev didn't do his job. I've seen Ward hit on a number of occasions. He's not untouchable by any means. If he can land that right hand with authority, things will get interesting very quickly. Pascal is no all time great but he doesn't have a weak chin and Kovalev battered the hell out of him. Ward is on another level for sure, but Krusher has had months with JDJ to work on landing on Ward. He can do it, but he's got to make it happen. I really think it will get more interesting than people think. Kovalev is not a go away quietly type of guy. He'll get mean in there and I don't think he'll need fouls to do it.

Leading the sport to it's demise by taking on the challenge of Kovalev and giving us one of the most demanded fights of the year??
How does that make sense, I can get blaming Mayweather but what on earth has Ward done to be accused of bringing down the sport?
No surprise though, you generalise far too often.

Mayweathers fights were always massive events, and say what you want about mayweather he didnt go on a run of fighting rodriguez, paul smith, sullivan barrera and alex brand. People say he cherry picked but he never had a 4 year stretch of fighting people who were useless. his style was more entertaining than wards too
So which is it man???? You guys can't seem to get your story sorted. You're a bunch of flip flopping boxrecing clowns.
