Unsurprising move, and more leverage.

Could? He's going to.
Thanks to his one and done and the WBO ordering 2 WBO mandos... yea....Canelo is gonna fight him.
Only way is if he unifies with GGG and you bet WBO will shut that **** downComment

So just like the highest ranked guy in the division universally never becomes the mandatory but the guy who just won a WBO belt somehow should first..therin lays the problem. This is the same dipshh president of the WBO popping his mouth like we can't see through him trying to toss up smoke and mirrors and doing everything he can to let Oscar have his way. Fk does Ward have to do with Saunders/Canelo/Golovkin?
that is a reasonably fair point
but, it completely ignores the fact that.....
* Canelo likely is one of the best middleweights, despite not yet fighting at 160
* Canelo is the current WBO JMW champ
* and I absolutely hate even mentioning this one, but he is the lineal middleweight champ as well
also, when the IBF mandated Dominic Wade, did you defend that fight by saying words to the effect of..... "mando doe"?
if so, then maybe Canelo aint such a bad mando after all?

Could be an interesting fight actually, I could see Canelo having real problems with Saunders style of fighting.Comment

When Canelo wins the WBO title he'll be in a great position.
"It's my dream to win all the belts." - Golovkin
Canelo will have your dream and a good pay day if you accept 10 mil. Go get it hype job.Comment

Cotto, Saunders, Lemieux have all been linked to Canelo for 2017. All 3 have been mentioned recently - most likely Cotto first (poss Feb) at 154 / 155 then a move to full 160 (Lemieux probably couldn't make a CW anyway). Either of the two MWs would sell better than Smith did and would help position him better for a Golovkin fight should he want it in 2018. Time is all on Canelo's side here.that is pretty-much what I think
if Canelo fought BJS/Jacobs/Lemiuex, or maybe even Eubank, he would likely generate 400k-500k
Cotto/Canelo will likely generate 700k-800k PPV's
Canelo/Golovkin could generate those numbers, but would most likely be around 500k-700k....
..... Canelo would likely get 60%, or at least 55%, and Cotto would be much easier to negotiate with as well as to fight
hard to imagine that fight not happening, unfortunately
Golovkin should have taken the 10mil just to secure that fight, because Canelo will fight Saunders after CottoComment

Oh, I am the dumbass? You complete and utter imbecile - in my comparison, GGG and Pac occupy the same role, as the B-side (with Floyd and now Canelo as the A-sides).
"Manny wanted the fight desperately"
"In this case is GGG who wants the fight"
How the **** does show any sort of difference to what I said?
What the **** point are you trying to make?Comment

Just like you advised Pac to get shafted on $40m too. Funny, at the time, you idiots weren't saying Pac options - but that Pac was an idiot for not taking $40m
Why should Golovkin and his team listen to an idiot like you? Do you know how ****** it would be to accept a low-ball offer like this? Let me tell you how ****** it is - it's like when the most idiotic fanbase on this site were making fun of Pac for not accepting $40m. If Pac had listened to you, he would have lost $110m. But here we are, years later, and you're dishing out financial advice again.
The fight WILL be made for September and Golovkin will get more than the $10m you want him to take. And if it doesn't get made, he has plenty of other fights to make his money in. He'll be fine, don't worry.Comment

Well firstly they should've followed what the WBC and WBA has been doing as of late, ranking other unified champs.. that's what's good for boxing. But they don't..Instead the let their titles remain with select promoters. And secondly their prez is sooo all over the nuts of Canelo, talking smack about other boxers. A prez and and sanctioning body should be neutral.Comment
