Yeah that's the mentality we need to have, since they put less deserving people in let's just continue that trend. SMH

And I think you meant Gatti. I don't think Micky Ward is in the hall of fame

it's a great win and currently the best win of this decade but if Canelo can beat a guy who is bigger, longer, hits harder and breaks bones by KO, especially a dominant KO, then I don't see how it's not a bigger or better win.

I know GGG isn't Pacquiao but dimensions are important. The 3 best wins of the decade so far have to be:

            JMM over Pac
            Fury over Wlad
            May over Pac

At the very least, a KO of GGG sends Canelo over the bottom 2.
all these wins are over All time Greats GGG would be a damn good win for Canelo but GGG is not in those fighters class

Ward is in the NJ hall of fame, not the IBHOF. While Canelo is popular, Gatti was more beloved

You're fixated on where GGG will be ranked in history but that's not how great wins are ranked.

It would be a big win but not make him an ATG. To become an atg you have to be great in your own era. That means ducking nobody, fighting the best at there best when the opportunity is there, and be dominating over the guys you fought. There are certain exceptions, mainly to the dominating criterion.
