all up, Cotto made 12mil for Mayweather

I agree that 10mil is not great money, but it is good money

put it this way..... it is an absolute fkn fortune compared to the p1ss-offer that you expect Jacobs and Saunders to take

way better fighters than Golovkin have taken way less
Golovkin has just sold 500,000 PPV's, and Canelo has just done 250-300,000. But of course you'll only concentrate on GG's lowest figure whilst not allowing for any circumstances.

A fight should be worked out fairly, based on what each guy brings to the table.

    Both guys need each other.

Canelo can't make huge money without GG.

How can you compare GG-Jacobs to GG-Canelo?

Why are you so biased all of the time?

I knew your story was FICTION when you said GGG moved to another weight class...

U see where it said that K2 submitted an offer they thought was fair??? I bet it was 50/50 or 60/40 with 60 probably being for GGG.

Canelo has options while GGG won't pay or can't pay REAL fighters. He'll get another tavern bum.
The fights don't happen because these guys talk the talk but when it comes to it, they're not interested.

You don't know what was submitted. All we know for sure is that K2 want to sit down face to face and discuss a percentage.

Cotto-Canelo made just under $60m, from around 900,000 buys.

In my honest opinion, GG-Cotto surpasses that.

I think it's realistic to predict that the fight grosses around $80m just in PPV's. Even if half is taken out, that still leaves $40m. So a $10m flat fee isn't a good offer.

Nowadays they see that and just want to get all the monetary details out the way as well as ensure that they match make each fighter correctly to ensure the future fight. I'd rather a guarantee of a great fight in 6-8 months that waiting around and witnessing all the failed negotiations.

K2 and Golovkin are playing the negotiations with GBP as if this is his only opportunity for a big money fight. I don't blame them. Trip isn't marketable to mainstream like Floyd and Manny are/were. He doesn't have a large national or ethnic following. They should fight for more cash, but recognize that there isn't career altering pressure on Alvarez to fight Trip now.
250k PPV buys for Canelo's last fight, which went down on one of the Mexican holiday dates he was counting on to give his numbers a big boost after Floyd retired. That's pressure.

And saying 2 guys are on collision course is not the same thing as asking one of them to sign a contract accepting a B side flat fee a whole year before the fight.

Can you give us one example of that ever happening before?

Thought not. This isn't Oscar planning ahead. This is Oscar deperately trying to stop Canelo's career from turning into a train wreck.

I agree and REALLY think GGG / Canelo does at least 1 million PPV buys. Probably around 1.5 - 2 if ALL the belts are on the line! I don't think I've ever seen that before?? What would really be AWESOME is if GGG vs. Canelo was for Hopkins Record??? I believe GGG is only 4 fights away from breaking it??? That could line up PERFECTLY in Sept. 2017.

And Hopkins was helping train Canelo to stop him...

Or wanting to pay Jacobs 25%???

Or saying life changing money and hinting it was around $6 million or even $4 million???
All three statements you made there are lies.

                K2 never offered Ward 90/10.

They didn't offer Jacobs 25%. That's his mandated split from a purse bid if he turns down whatever they do offer.

K2 never said anything about offering BJS $6million or $4million. It was BJS himself who said they'd offered him life changing money in a tweet he made.

Indeed, this is also what you get when you make deals publicly. This none sense when negotiating for big fights is actually the norm

the only pressure about this is not fighting unknown fighters in ppv, but still they made a good profit out of it whitout affecting hbos budget... i think they learned the lesson and will do better ppvs on the future, that doesnt mean canelos ppv career is over without ggg...
canelo has had big fights already and has plenty of time to have more in the future, ggg at 34 or 35 has limited options and is struggling to even make decent fights....
