International money isn't what you think it is. Even in the UK, PPV fights are priced at $22 (USD). That means $11 dollars goes to the promotion. I can't imagine any other country in Europe charging more than the UK
Well in America the PPV's are $70. The money is severely different. That's why all boxers wanna fight in America. They wanna fight in Las Vegas where you can charge ridiculous prices for tickets. Check the highest gates in boxing. 7 out of 10 will be in Vegas.
All that money added up won't help the way it should. Not to mention the time differences means you'll know the results before you even see the fight. A live broadcast might have to be at 4am. America for boxing is where it's at.

What do you not get? His purse for the fight plus international PPV money gets him more than the flat fee offered by Golden boy. You realise that the purse for the fight and PPV splits are different right? Not hyping him up. I am trying to get my point across.
For example Canelo got a guarenteed $5 Million which excluded the PPV money. Where as Cotto got $15 Million excluding PPV money. Against Khan, Canelo made $10 Million guarenteed excluding PPV money.
Am pretty sure Golovkin make a hell of a lot more than the $10 million flat fee if they offer him $5 million guarentee plus all international PPV moneys. How you do not see this is baffling. Even if K2 use thier contacts and have Hearn or whomever is the best promoter in the various countries and only take 50% of the PPV money from those countries they would still be able to give Golovkin more than $5 million easy.Comment

GGG had to fly to the UK to make the $5 Mil. They couldn't generate that type of revenue anywhere else or with any other opponent.
And yes it did expand his fan base.

If I was in Loeffler's position, I'd honestly think about asking the WBA for an extension if Jacobs' team can't commit to a date.
I've just heard Frank Warren say that the WBO no longer require BJS to fight back to back mandatories. After his fight on November the 26th, he'll be able to have a voluntary. So I'd be looking at going all out to obtain a BJS fight for early next year.Comment

If this fight does 1 Mil (which would be incredible because both guys don't speak good english) you're only talking 35 Mil in PPV revunue to the promotion. Add maybe 5 Mil from gate money/ticket sales.
40 Million Dollars is the pot we are looking at... K2 will receive 10-15 Mil for the fight. The extra 5 mil is what they are fight over. At 15 mil, GGG's side will receive close to 40% of the revenue.
So I understand why Golden boy wants to stand firm at 10 Mil offer to GGG which would be 25% of the possible revenue. Maybe Oscar can offer 30% and call it a day. Who knows. What a dilemma 🤔
There's like 15 million more right there.Comment
