Jacobs was paid 1.5 millions just because of Quillin

I agree.
Unfortunately money has always been a big issue especially these days, and it can make or break fights.
But spending so much time worrying about money is just a way for fans to defend their favorite fighter who is ducking or to criticize a fighter they don't like and call that fighter a ducker.
As a fan, I just want the best to fight the best can get paid well for it. Boxers have too many options and we don't have the same kind of issues in other regulated sports.Comment

Tell team GGG to get their coins up and stop trying to leech off of other fighters success to make money. They tried to leech off Froch, Cotto, Chavez Jr, & now Canelo. They claim GGG is a worldwide superstar but they can't even pay their opponents what Canelo pays in sanctioning fees per fight. Boss up!Comment

Two ways to look at this:
1. I have no problem with Jacobs getting 40% to fight Golovkin.
2. If Jacobs wants to be a "star", he should take the offer as this is a great opportunity to really make a name for himself. Imagine the possibilities if he derails the Golovkin train. He's not a star yet so holding out for more money will not help his case.
Personally, I don't think Jacobs has the confidence he can beat Golovkin, same as Quillin didn't.Comment

Because you get paid according to what you can sell, or the power you have. Without Haymon, that would be their purse max... they are not even world champions.Comment

When did I say that it wasn't this way? that's the reason why Quillin vacated, yes.
And the reason why Jacobs got the same money is because he was also a Haymon fighter and he wanted the same money Quillin was making. Otherwise there was no way he was getting that purse.Comment

STFU you hater.Tell team GGG to get their coins up and stop trying to leech off of other fighters success to make money. They tried to leech off Froch, Cotto, Chavez Jr, & now Canelo. As you said, Jacobs was offered at least 1.7 millions and said no.
That ***** is an interim champion and wants 3 millions? wtf. And the coward doesn't want to face Golovkin, period.
And you tried to twist the facts here saying that December was an invention of K2, that Jacobs knwe he wouldn't be ready, and then the video appeared of Jacobs saying he was coming back for a date in december and you got owned.Comment
