He does like to use that combo here and there. That was just the first fight that came to mind and I knew it would be easy to find on YT.
But just like when Ward does it (and his is a little snappier), it's effective because the opponent is used to defending against combos that end in a power punch, whether it's straight right (or a left for sp's), a hook, or an uppercut. They don't expect a jab to finish it off, so you can usually catch them off guard.
