scheafer talking from a money perspective, oscar talks as a fan most of the time and oscar is right and schefer is wrong here 2016 is one of the worst boxing years in a long time imo.

Oscar De La Hoya is a friggin' promoter, with a fighter that HBO has seemingly decided to build their boxing programming around.

You can't talk about how terrible 2016 was in boxing when your own actions led to a lot of what went wrong, lol.

Schaefer has been saying the right things since his return to boxing. As a former banker, he's probably more adept than Oscar at using other people's money to make more money; and if that means more competitive fights get made under his RingStar banner, then I hope he succeeds big time.

If you understand the situation, you know Oscar is talking specificity about Al Haymon/PBC. For the most part, Oscar is right! For the stable of fighters Haymon has, he has done a mediocre job at best! 2016 was not a good year for PBC. For those of you who supports the PBC brand, please tell me why is it difficult to make competitive fights between PBC fighters? NO promoter getting in the way, no network problems, so why are the fights not being made? Over 200 fighters under one banner! I can understand why Oscar is salty but he needs to move on && build GBP back up.
