Although i agree it would be nice if those guys start fighting each other. Thurman-Garcia will be a good start but they really need to start being consistant.

Well that is a result of conning the general public that finally the 2 greatest fighters in Floyd and Manny were going to fight - when not only both were way past their peak but also the actual fight was mostly a dud. Now you want casuals to get interested again? No way. The economy is actually contracting so people have less disposable income which is another reason why ppv no.s are down.

And now to think Canelo Golovkin will rescue boxing? In will be the boxing equivalent of what in the trading world is known as the "dead cat bounce".

Nothing to do with Mayweather. It's the fact that Al Haymons PBC is just failing and not resonating with the fans. Canelo-GGG fighting overmatched opponents and not fighting each other. The HW's not fighting each other due to whatever reason and the fact that there aren't many huge stars to capitalise off in Boxing right now.

Pac is also an older, part-time fighter now, he can't carry the Sport in the U.S like he did when Floyd was gone. If Floyd came back, he'd fight what twice a year at most? So one or two fights where most of us know Floyd is going to win saves a full year of Boxing? Naa.
