That's not the way I remember that playing out. I though Canelo offered 152 and Mayweather took it. I never got that it was a demand from Mayweather or the fight wouldn't happen. Regardless, I think they are throwing this around to gauge interest. Especially if Canelo fights GGG and wins, you can guarantee that a Mayweather-Canelo fight will generate tons of money and interest. Maybe to the degree to lure FM out of retirement. I'm not itching for that fight, but I will take it...

Only way Floyd would consider fighting Canelo is if Canelo beats Billy Jo Saunders and GGG and is the undisputed champion. That's number one

Number 2 is if Canelo loses to Mayweather, Golden Boy would have to agree to let Mayweather put an option or more on Canelos next fights.

That's the only way Canelo gets a rematch. Even then while I think it sells and Canelo does better I still think Money May comes out on top.
